Vinous Neal Martin - 05 Jan 23
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru has a spellbinding bouquet with effervescent red cherries, redcurrant, hints of yuzu and sous-bois, brimming with energy. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, elegant and silky with a harmonious finish. Not a ravishing Les Amoureuses yet the pedigree of the climat shines through. Frankly, it cocks a snook at the Bonnes-Mares.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
